Seville CF Football Match

Whether you are a football fan or not, going to a Spanish football game is something everyone needs to experience!

It will be a fantastic experience, especially if you get to see Sevilla FC, Andalusia’s most successful team, play another big-name opponent.

In Seville, football is a synonym of passion and if you are Sevillian you either support Sevilla FC or Real Betis fans.

The Stadium

Sevilla CF’s home ground is the Remon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium, named after a former president of the club.

The stadium has a capacity of just under 43,000. Its relatively small size makes for an intimate atmosphere during matches and means that, even if you’re sitting on the highest rows, you’ll still have a great view of the pitch.

Sevilla CF supporters are known as Palanganas and those that sit behind the north goals usually lead the chanting, singing and basically stand for the entire game so these are great places to sit but if you would rather a little more relaxed atmosphere then the south stand is perfect for you. The west and east side is deemed more family friendly with not much chanting.

Food and drinks can be bought in the stadium, no alcohol is sold at the stadium so it's best to get a few pints in before in one of the many sports bars around the Nervion area.

Buying Tickets

Buying tickets online, via Sevilla FC’s website, is straightforward, but the exact date and time are only finalised about a week beforehand.

The frequency of matches means that obtaining tickets is not usually difficult, except for when the visiting team is a big name. Prices vary depending on the location of the seats, and Sevilla’s opponents. Expect to pay at least €100 if Barcelona or Real Madrid, whilst decent tickets for most other matches won’t cost more than about €35 or €40.

Not great at spanish? That's fine as the website has an English setting up the top so it leads to confusion when buying tickets.

Changes, cancellations or refunds are not allowed if your tickets are booked on the club’s website. On the website it says tickets must be printed but if your ticket is on your phone you will be able to virtually scan it when entering the stadium.

Getting there

Getting to the stadium is super simple. The city’s main train station, Sevilla Santa Justa, is a 10-minute walk away, whilst the nearest Metro stop, Nervión, is right opposite. The city center of Seville is about a 20-minute walk, or minute bus ride, away.

Merch

If you don't want to stand out we recommend buying a Seville scarf as it is a tradition that Sevilliano supporters cheer and sing while holding up their scarfs and swinging them in the air. You can buy Sevilla CF scarves in the city center for only 8 euros. Not only does it let you join in on the excitement if seville scores but you also get to keep it as a memory of your great spanish experience!

SOUNDS TO PRICEY?
