Saharan Dust Cloud: Orange Skies

We wanted to share a phenomenon that caused the skies of Spain, Portugal and France orange! This is known as Rayleigh scattering from additional particles in the air being refracted by light causing the red and orange hues.

This dust cloud originating from the Sahara has been moving across Europe making skies and ski slopes look like a scene out of Bladerunner! The dust even reached the UK, giving the sky an orangish tinge!
